PTC Elements MZ24 series are essential for safeguarding high-voltage circuits, providing secondary protection even when primary protection is present. These Thermistor PTC components handle surge pulses up to 2KV and withstand short-term power inductionat high voltages, ensuring reliable circuit protection.
PTC Elements thermistors are connected in series with each line to offer robust protection. Even with primary protection like gas discharge tubes, Thermistor PTC must endure severe conditions, including high surge pulses and voltage spikes.
For circuits with primary protection, a 220V to 300V PTC Elements are sufficient. However, in the absence of primary protection, a 600V Thermistor PTC is necessary to ensure effective circuit protection, safeguarding your telecom systems.
In normal operation, the PTC Thermistors remains in a low resistance state, allowing current to flow smoothly. During an overload, the thermistor’s resistance increases sharply, effectively “cutting off” the circuit to prevent damage.
